Available Weims in Northern California

Even though you don’t see your perfect dog here
today, don’t despair. We constantly get new dogs.
Many dogs never post to our site as the right,
approved home is waiting when the dog comes to
us. It is important to become home-approved to
be on that list.

We cannot place dogs in homes with kids younger
than 10 years old. Weimaraners can be too
rambunctious for young children.

As your beloved
one nears end
of life, here is a
wonderful way
to keep an image
of them close
to your heart, a
sterling silver

Our perfect rescue home is one where the dog will have little or no alone time, good daily exercise and Weimaraner experience.  If your dog will be alone more than a minimal amount of time, we will not place a dog with you.

Hi! My name is Remi! I am 4 years old. I am a typical Weimaraner girl who loves her people! I was raised with children, but the nice people at Weimaraner rescue have a rule that children must be over the age of 10 to adopt us Weims. I need a family that will help me introduce myself to other dogs with care. I was raised with a cat, so dog savvy kitties are just fine with me. My fantastic foster mom is helping me learn some basic obedience and helping me learn not to pull on the leash when I get excited on walks. She is also helping me learn to stay home while she runs errands, and I can stay home alone for a couple of hours without becoming too stressed. I will go into my crate, but I like the door left open. I think I can work on spending more time in my crate, but I haven’t decided yet. I like to sleep on the floor next to my peoples’ bed. I don’t really know how to swim and I am not a fan of being in the water at all. Do you have just the perfect home for me? If you do, please fill out an application.

Hi everyone I’m Koby! I am a handsome five-year-old male Weimaraner and I’m looking for a foster or forever home due to an illness in my family.  I love, love, love cuddles and snuggles with my humans.  I have lived with another dog, but I can be possessive of my human’s bed, so I would do best as “an only dog.”  I know a little bit of obedience and I walk well on leash.  I can stay home for a few hours, while you run errands. I might cry a bit, but I promise never to be destructive when you leave.  I have little experience with children, so kids in my new home should be older. I don’t know much about cats either, so I’m looking for a home without kitties. The nice people at Northern California Weimaraner Rescue are helping me to find an active home that is committed to helping me to be the best citizen possible. If you can foster me or adopt me, please contact Northern California Weimaraner Rescue here on Facebook or fill out an application.
